For years now, Deontay Wilder has been at the top of the heavyweight division. Knocking out nearly every single one of his opponents in big and small matchups, only not knocking out the world champion at the time where he won via unanimous decision. He is now not known as the best heavyweight in the world as he lost his title to Tyson Fury and admitted something that everyone thought was wrong.
Wilder vs Joshua has been on the cards for years, ever since Joshua won all the belts apart from the one Wilder was holding, it was written in the stars, the US vs the UK! Joshua’s team set up a few deals with Wilder’s team but not one went through due to Wilder fighting Tyson Fury, however, we now know why!
The reason no offer went through was that it is said Wilder admitted to dodging the current unified heavyweight champion of the world Anthony Joshua. The offer Joshua’s team made was bigger than the Fury fight, however, Wilder decided to fight Fury instead. Which was a big mistake on his part.
Anthony Joshua has been wanting to fight for all the titles since he started boxing and try to win them all, the same with Tyson Fury when he returned to boxing, however, Wilder chose Fury as he would have thought it would have been an easy fight, but he was wrong.
