Who is The Best Heavyweight Boxer?

Three heavyweight boxers have been trying to reach the top of the world and prove to everyone what they can do. Three heavyweight boxers have been said to be the best in the world. Tyson Fury, Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua all have been named the face and or the goat of boxing the past few years, some more than others! Each boxer has a reason to be on this list of the top 3 best heavyweight boxers, however who will be remembered as the best boxer out of these three? Eddie Hearn believes that Joshua is the best Heavyweight in the world, followed by Tyson Fury then Deontay Wilder, however the stats don’t add up.

#1 Tyson Fury

If we are basing everything off stats and how many titles each competitor has won, Tyson Fury will be the best fighter in the heavyweight division. He has been in 28 fights, won 27 with 19 coming by way of knockout and drew once. Fury has been in 172 rounds altogether in his career and has a KO rate of 68%. He has beaten some of the best in the business like Klitschko and Chisora twice, however he didn’t manage to beat Wilder. Having nearly every title in the heavyweight division and proving he can still perform at a top level after 3 years of not fighting! He has won the, BBBofC English Heavyweight title, Commonwealth Heavyweight Title, BUI Ireland Heavyweight title, WBO inter-continental and International Heavyweight titles, EBU European Heavyweight championship and 4 out of 5 major titles in the division!

Tyson Fury may not be liked by many boxing fans, but its undoubtable that he is one of the best and could be the best boxer, Fury believes that if he didn’t get rid of the titles back in 2015… he would still be the unified champion and Joshua wouldn’t be anywhere near his level!

#2 Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua has only been boxing since 2013 and has already made the heavyweight division better and if not harder to gain titles, since he has them all… apart from one! The Englishmen has been involved in 22 fights, won 22 and all bar one come by way of knockout, meaning Joshua has a 95% KO Rate! The main reason Joshua to some people isn’t Number 1 is because Fury convincingly beat Klitschko and Wilder, somehow it was a draw, as Joshua got knocked down in the 6th round and won in the 11th unconvincingly. Joshua v Klitschko could have ended as a draw. Joshua has won the WBC International Heavyweight Championship, Commonwealth Heavyweight Championship and 4 out of 5 major titles which he still owns now!

Picking the best heavyweight out of Joshua and Fury is hard since both fighters are at the top of their game currently! They both have great stats, and both have had all the major titles in boxing!

#3 Deontay Wilder

Deontay Wilder is nowhere near the top heavyweight boxer in the world. He deserves the number 3 spot however since he drew with Tyson Fury and has one of the best records in boxing history! 41 fights, 40 wins and 39 of them coming by way of knockout! Meaning he has the same KO Rate as Joshua with more fights. Looking at what Wilder has won, he’s only won WBC Continental Americas Heavyweight championship and the WBC World heavyweight championship. So, in 41 fights, Wilder has only managed to pick up 2 titles, as Fury and Joshua have won 5+ titles! Wilder needs to fight Joshua for his titles to even be close to the top 2!

Boxrec ranks them with Joshua coming first, then Fury and then Wilder!
