UFC Vegas 15 – Blaydes vs Lewis – Results
There was a late change of card from the proposed match ups this last weekend, as the planned main event between heavy weights Curtis Blaydes and Derrick Lewis was scratched due to Blaydes testing positive for Covid 19. The winner of that battle was likely go on to face the winner of Stipe Miocic and Francis Ngannou for the title – however a firm date is yet to be set for that fight, but rumours are circulating that it may not be until March, which would give time for this one to be rescheduled. So as it transpired Devin Clark and Anthony Smith were boosted to the main event, with both fighters agreeing on late notice to undergo the full 5 rounds befitting the main event status. As it happens Smith quickly put an end to Clark’s challenge with triangle choke in the very first round.
