One fight that will happen very soon could be these two 21 years olds. Ryan Garcia had a main event fight against Francisco Fonseca on the 14th February and managed to pick up a first round KO, knocking out his opponent that bad that he was “praying for him to get up” after he knew he won the fight. In 20 fights, Ryan has knocked out 17 fighters and now wants to go up against someone better and someone that will give him a challenge. Devin Haney is the man for the job! he is currently unbeaten and could cause an issue for Garcia if he decides to fight in the future.
Both fighters are wanting a huge mega fight since they both believe they are ready for a mega fight so; this could decide if they are ready for the big stage right now. This is going to be a challenge for both fighters since they are hoping for a championship fight! Garcia is a great at boxing and could be a world champion one day, same as Haney but if they fight… we will see who the better fighter in the division will be, once the title is won!
Garcia and Haney met in the amateur division back in 2014 in a USA junior National Championship and ended up losing this fight via unanimous decision, however then met again a few days later and Garcia won the fight via split decision, so, its 1-1 in terms of fighting. If there is a third fight, it will be a great fight to see!
