Joseph Parker was scheduled to fight Dereck Chisora on the 26th October 2019 at the O2 Arena, this was confirmed by Matchroom boxing promoter Eddie Hearn. This bout would of settled if Joseph Parker could still be a world champion in the heavyweight division, he used to be the world champion until Anthony Joshua beat him via unanimous decision for it and then went on to fight Klitschko, however this bout is now cancelled due to the New Zealand fighter is suffering from an illness and has been ruled out of the bout and Eddie Hearn will have to find a new opponent for Dereck Chisora!
Eddie Hearn took this to Twitter to announce that there will be a suitable opponent and someone that will nearly be the same skill set as Parker in the long run, however this will be hard to find due to the bout in 3 weeks and a fighter will have to train for only 3 weeks and have a chance against Chisora. Chisora could go for some rising stars that are coming to the sport and looking promising like Dubois, the most promising heavyweight in the division. Will Eddie Hearn pick Dubois?
Due to illness, @joeboxerparker is out of the @DerekWarChisora fight on October 26. We are working on a suitable replacement and will make a further announcement this week #boxing

The reason Joseph Parker has suddenly become ill before the fight is because he was bitten by a spider and was unable to train for the week, this isn’t fully confirmed but as of right now it is believed that he was bitten by a spider. Sources say that Parker is undergoing tests to determine the exact nature of his illness in case he wasn’t bitten and its something more serious, however Eddie Hearn will have to go somewhere else and find a new opponent.
