Oleksandr Usyk Next Fight?

Oleksandr Usyk Next Fight?

Oleksandr Usyk is one of the best boxers in the world, well best Cruiserweight boxer and ESPN boxer of the year, 16 fights and all the major titles in his division! He’s done well to achieve all this is such little time, however he has been saying for a while now that he want to move up into the Heavyweight division, they are currently still trying to find Usyk a fight in this division, however there are 4 contenders it could be, two have said they aren’t fighting him as the others are still yet to say anything. These are the four potential opponents that Usyk could be fighting in the Heavyweight division… if they accept that is!

Dereck Chisora!

Chisora isn’t one of the best heavyweight boxers in the world, however he does know how to throw a punch! He has been rumoured to be fighting Oleksandr Usyk in his first heavyweight bout. This would let Usyk know what the heavyweight division is all about, since Chisora has been up against some of the world’s best boxers and won a lot of bouts in his time! Chisora has went up against Vitali Klitschko in 2012, David Hayes in 2012 and Tyson Fury in 2014, however he hasn’t won against one of the best! Most recent fight being against Dillian Whyte who has only lost one bout against Joshua! Usyk would be able to see how he would do in the Heavyweight division if he agrees to fight him. Be a great start to the division! Usyk should be able to beat Chisora and start his career in this division off well!

Dillian Whyte!

Whyte is also on the list of people Usyk’s team is trying to get in contract with! This would prove if Usyk could make it in the Heavyweight division. Whyte is considered as one of the best British fighters, under Anthony Joshua! Whyte has been in 26 fights won 25 and lost 1! This would be a real test for Usyk, the cruiserweight king! Usyk would be starting strong if he fought Whyte instead of Chisora because then he would prove he’s worthy of going for Joshua and fighting Joshua. He fought Tony Bellew to try and gain a shot at Joshua, fighting Whyte may land him a shot at Joshua’s IBF, WBO and WBA world heavyweight championship! Whyte will be hard to fight however since he doesn’t back down, no matter what he’ll find a way to hit his opponent with a left hook! Like he did to Chisora in the 11th round!

Alexandra Povetkin!

Povetkin would be a decent starter fight for the Ukrainian fighter. Povetkin has said that he’s only wanting to be in 2 more fights then he’s retiring for boxing! He’s currently 39 years old and has still managed to have a great career! 36 bouts, 2 loses. He will be remembered, however, Usyk will have to be quick with his offer since this could end soon. Povetkin had a shot at Joshua’s titles last year on the 22nd September, unfortunately for him, he got knocked out in the 7th round, however would this be the right move for Usyk? He’s proven to be one of the best fighters already, should he go for someone else?

Anthony Joshua!

No one in the right mind would take Joshua out the picture, he holds every single major heavyweight championship, bar the WBC, in the division. Usyk did say he wanted to have the April fight with Joshua, but Joshua most likely won’t accept it! This is because he wants either Wilder, Fury or Whyte! He may have to accept it if he can’t get a fight with anyone! Joshua will be the hardest opponent Usyk will fight in this division because of his power and movement that makes him nearly impossible to fight against! Usyk will need something special if he gets this fight with Joshua!
