There are many fighters that think they deserve a chance at being the face of boxing, many fighters go on to win multiple titles and have a chance to fight at the grandest stage of them all, however some fighters have their chance and go off the radar but should be given another chance like Kubrat Pulev! He is one of the only fighters that hasn’t really been given that many chances to shine. Since his debut in 2009, he hasn’t been given many opportunities to win a major title, apart from once when he went up against Wladimir Klitschko in 2014. Pulev is currently 37 years old and still has some time left in him to win any title, he just needs to be given a chance!
On the 27th October 2018, Pulev went up against Hughie Fury and the winner becomes the number one contender for a title shot. He has got a shot at one of Anthony Joshua’s titles but when that fight happens is a different story. Kubrat Pulev is one of the best boxers in the Heavyweight division, only losing once against Klitschko and beating the likes of Chisora, who has had a few more title shots! Pulev is one of the most underrated boxers in the world right now. 28 bouts, 27 wins with 14 via KO and 1 lose coming from KO. Kubrat Pulev should get a chance at winning the title, however it is just the matter of when this is going to happen!
