Mike Tyson to Return at the Age of 53!

Mike Tyson, one of the hardest hitting boxers in the world, is wanting to make his return to the ring at the age of 53! He was the man to beat back in 1980s and won every fight until the 1990s where he lost his first bout against James Douglas in Japan for the WBC, WBA and IBF world heavyweight championships. Tyson then had his last fight in 2005 where he lost to Kevin Mcbride via RTD. He is set to make his return to the ring and he is wanting to fight professional boxers in a 4 round bouts!

Eddie Hearn reached out to him and said;

“I would probably like to see it but … is it a bit irresponsible to let a 53-year-old legend back in the ring? I had a message from someone saying they wanted to talk to me about Mike. He looks pretty dangerous. What’s compelling is could he actually go back in at 53 and do some damage? But should we be encouraging that from an all-time great? There’s a fine line – and I’ve crossed it a couple of times – between integrity of the sport and entertainment delivering numbers. Our job is to deliver numbers for broadcasters but we have to keep it as close to the right mark as we can.”

Mike Tyson is wanting to do 4 round exhibition bouts, but he could already have a fight on the way. Evander Holyfield has said that he will return to the ring to fight anyone but only for a good cause, so this could be the first fight for the 53 year old. 53 year old Mike Tyson vs 57 year old Evander Holyfield. Here is a clip of Mike Tyson currently training for his fights!
