The fight ended in the 6th round with Amir Khan almost getting knocked out in every round, Kell Brook was outstanding in this fight and showed the world he still has what it takes to be a world champion again. The trash talk made the fight what it was and the fact it was 20 years worth of fighting… This made the fight better.

Recently, Amir Khan has stated this could be his last ever fight. After losing to Kell Brook, Khan has been thinking and has stated this:

“been in the game a very long time, I’ve done more than I ever expected, Maybe I peaked too early. I was at the Olympics at 17, I won the world title at 22. I’m 35 now – I’ve been in the game a very long time. I’m an old man. I want to spend time with my kids and my family.”

This suggests that Khan is thinking of retirement fully now. He has achieved so much as his time as a boxer, however his age may have caught up to him now! Over 10 years of boxing and has a lot to show for it! For more welterweight boxing news, click here!
