On the 11ths May 2019 Julian Williams went up against Jarrett Hurd for the WBA, IBO and IBF world super welterweight championship of the world and managed to beat him via unanimous decision with Hurd going down in the 2nd round. No one expected this fight to end like this, however, Jeison Rosario was the new challenger for the titles and put up a great fight… winning in the 5th round via TKO! Jarrett Hurd will be hoping for one more chance at this title, however Jeison Rosario is the new unified world super welterweight championship.
Julian Williams has only had one title defence and managed to lose them to Rosario via TKO, an unbelievable night for the 24-year-old boxer, he will now be known the welterweight champion of the world! Williams will have to try his best to regain what he lost however he may not have chance to for a while now, Rosario may be able to keep the belts if he continues to perform like he did in that fight!
