Fury v Wilder! Stats and Opinion!

Fury v Wilder! Stats and Opinion!

Everywhere is going on about this legendary bout between two world class fighters. Both will put on a show for us all to remember, however since it’s only a couple of days away, let’s go through the stats and what has so far been said! Tyson Fury is one of the best boxers from 2015, he had to leave the ring due to him being tested for drugs and failing. Before all this though, Tyson had a decent run of form, beating everyone that was in his way, winning some of the major Heavyweight division belts and in general a beast! He wouldn’t ever lose a fight, knocked out 19 out of the 27 fights he’s been in. He started boxing in 2008 and hasn’t disappointed anyone since then. Wilder on the other hand has been in more fights and has shown us all he has the potential to become one of the best fighters of our generation, he could be the man to stop Joshua! Currently the WBC Heavyweight Champion, he’s held that title since 2012! Beating Kelvin Price for his title! Wilder has been in 40 fights… won all 40… 39 by knockout! Only won once on points!

My Opinion on the Fight!

In my opinion, it’ll be a close match up. Fury is at a disadvantage due to him leaving the sport for a few years and returning with barely any practice fights. He’s just decided to fight the big man for the title, since, as he’s put it, Joshua was too scared to fight Deontay Wilder, so he went for him instead! Wilder on the other hand has been fighting since his debut, his last fight was in March 2018 against Luis Ortiz, which he won by TKO. I think that Deontay Wilder will be able to win this match either on points or by KO in the 9th round! He has got the power and the knowledge to strike, as I think Fury will have lost some of his knowledge of the ring since he left for 3 years!

Stats!

Deontay Wilder
Fights – 40
Knockouts – 39
Losses – 0
Drew – 0
Age – 33
Height – 6′ 7

Tyson Fury
Fights – 27
Knockouts – 19
Losses – 0
Drew – 0
Age – 30
Height – 6’9

This will be a very close contest if Fury has been training like a mad man! If he has then he could last the whole 12 rounds and potential win the fight, however if he hasn’t, I reckon he’ll be able to get knocked out in the 9th round! Wilder has the most knowledge in the ring, i believe he will win the fight! If he doesn’t then Fury has proven me and nearly everyone wrong. Who do you think will win this fight?
