Flashback: Mayweather vs Mosley 2010!

On the 1st May 2010, Shane Mosley went up against Floyd Mayweather Jr at the MGM Grand Arena, Las Vegas. Shane Mosley went into this fight with two knockouts against Ricardo Mayorga and Antonio Margarito, with one loss against Miguel Cotto! As Mayweather was unbeaten in 40 fights and didn’t look like he was going to lose this fight at all or even have a chance of losing any fight for that matter. Both men entered the ring and a lot of fans thought Mayweather would run through him, however this almost changed history and could of been a great chance for Mosley to pick up a world title shot if he beat Mayweather!

Floyd Mayweather Jr kept his stance the same like he has throughout the years of boxing and the stance that beat 40 opponents previously, however Shane Mosley managed to chance his stance due to two right hooks that almost ended the fight already and ended Floyd Mayweather’s 40-0 streak! The first right hand hit Mayweather hard and well with Mayweather showing some signs of falling, but the second right hook almost had Mayweather down for the first time in his professional career. The day Mosley almost beat the unbeaten champion!

As the fight carried on, Shane Mosley ended up losing stamina, which ended up with Mayweather getting the upper hand and making Mayweather have the win via points decision, one of the only times Floyd Mayweather almost lost a bout, however Mayweather found out Shane Mosley’s style and won the fight with each judge scoring him 119-109 apart from one judge with 118-110! What a win and a comeback for Mayweather!
