Daniel Dubois vs Deontay Wilder?

Daniel Dubois vs Deontay Wilder?

Former WBC world heavyweight champion of the world Deontay Wilder is wanting his rematch with Tyson Fury due to him losing his title in the 7th round. Deontay Wilder will be hoping for revenge and hoping for his title back from Fury. There was a fight between Fury and Wilder in the making but due to Fury and Joshua wanting to fight in December, we could be seeing another fight for Wilder to happen… Daniel Dubois could be that fighter if he beats Joe Joyce. This fight would be great if it happens but this fight may not happen as soon as we think.

Joy Joyce vs Daniel Dubois is set to fight on the 11th July 2020, this fight could get called off due to the coronavirus outbreak. If this fight ends with Daniel Dubois winning the fight, he would love to fight Deontay Wilder, the former champion that lost his five year reign to Fury. “Daniel is the best heavyweight prospect on earth and he’ll have far too much for Wilder, I truly believe that.” said Warren, Dubois’s Promoter. Wilder has been unbeaten since he started his professional career, however this was cut short, but if he fought Daniel Dubois, this could see if he really is a heavyweight champion and will prove that Dubois isn’t the heavyweight prospect.

Wilder is still expecting a rematch before fighting anyone else, but due to this virus, this will be proven difficult. “Tyson has shown how beatable Wilder is. Once their rematch is out the way, I’d have no problem matching Daniel with Deontay. Wilder is good, don’t get me wrong, but my man will be miles better in time.” Warren carried on. “Daniel’s big and powerful and everyone knows he can punch, too, But he’s a good boxer. I’ve said before that he has a Larry Holmes-like jab and he works the body as well as any heavyweight on earth.”
