Recently, Michael Conlan, the unbeaten Irish fighter went up against Leigh Wood for the WBA World Featherweight championship, the fight throughout was in favour of the so close winner Michael Conlan, however the fight took a massive turn in the last round of the fight.
The fight was all in favour of the nearly winner of the contest Michael Conlan, he managed to win most of the rounds and managed to even get a knockdown in the 1st round, however this did not matter due to Michael Conlan losing the fight in the last round via KO.
Surprising to hear that the unbeaten Irishman managing to lose the fight in the last round due to the fact he got knocked out, however the knockout couldn’t of happened any better for Wood! Conlan however was knocked down in the 12th round and this could have been a draw, however the end of the fight was Woods beating Conlan by the way of KO and even knocking him out of the ring!
Conlan was out cold due to the knock out blow as he was, nearly, thrown out the ring with the combination shots given to him and knocked out before even hitting the outside of the ring. He has recently released a video to say that he is okay.

Even with this knockout, Conlan has stated that he wants to fight Leigh Wood again to try and gain the WBA World Featherweight championship, however if this does not happen he will be fighting someone else he said!
