Canelo vs Kovalev Deal has been Finalised!

One of the best middleweight fighters in the world, known as the best lbs for lbs fighter in the world as well, however he will be going up to the light heavyweight division to fight the current world titlist Sergey Kovalev on November 2nd! This deal was finalised on Friday and will be live on DAZN or live at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. This is going to be the biggest fight in Canelos career and if he wins this fight; he will make history and will be known as the face of boxing!

Saul Alvarez is by far the biggest boxing star in the world right now, he has been involved in so many fights that have made him better each and every time, however he has never fought anyone heavier than 167 1/4 pounds, which was his third round victory over Rocky Fielding to win his second super middleweight belt in New York in December. He then returned to the 160 pounds in the middleweight division to fight Daniel Jacobs to unify three belts in the middleweight division, however the IBF world middleweight title was later vacated by the IBF board due to Canelo not reaching the deadline to get a fight sorted.

“We promised to make this fight happen, and now we are delivering it, Historic fights have been a hallmark of this company, and we are pleased to once again live up to the high expectations we’ve set for our fans. The best pound-for-pound fighter is also boxing’s biggest star. Few fighters in boxing history can claim to be both like Canelo Alvarez. Now, he’ll look to become a four-division world champion against one of the most dangerous fighters of recent years, and I’m certain that he will stop him.” Golden Boy Promotions CEO Oscar De La Hoya said. This fight will show a historic night, if Canelo loses, this will be his second loss and he will have lost to Floyd Mayweather and Kovalev.
