Canelo Beats GGG!

Canelo Beats GGG!

Over the weekend, Canelo Alvarez went up against Gennady Golovkin for the undisputed super-middleweight championship, however, there was a lot of hype for this fight and even Canelo said round 1 KO. This did not happen however as GGG lasted the entire 12 rounds, proving he has a great chin and a great work ethic.

Saul “Canelo” Alvarez went the distance with GGG in Las Vegas. This fight was the third and final time these two would go up against each other.

Following on from the past 2 fights. Canelo is now 2 wins, 0 losses, and 1 draw to Gennady Golovkin.

After sidestepping a fightback from Golovkin in the later rounds, all three judges were in agreement, scoring it 116-112, 115-113, 115-113 for Alvarez.

“Thank you my friend, we gave the fans three great fights,” said Canelo!

“I want to shake hands with Canelo. Congrats to all his team. He’s a real warrior – if you don’t understand that, you don’t understand nothing.” said GGG.

Great contest and a great way to bounce back from the loss. Canelo beats GGG via a points decision.
