Gennady Golovkin could be on his way to be winning another title sometime soon, however he won’t be going up against one of the best middleweight boxers in the world, Canelo, he might be fighting Derevyanchenko! This fight could be taking place soon, but Canelo will want to regain that title and have a chance to win back that title in the future, so whoever wins this title in this match, will most likely go up against Canelo for the IBF championship. Golovkin will be the favourite in this contest since he still has what it takes to win a world title. Still known as one of the best fighters in the world.
Sergiy Derevyanchenko has been given another chance to fight for the IBF world middleweight championship. He was given a chance to win this title on the 27th October 2018 against Daniel Jacobs, the fight went the distance with Jacobs winning the bout via split decision, however Sergiy Dereyanchenko went down in the first round. He managed to win over one of the judges on points even when going down in the first round! He currently has been in 14 fights, won 13 with 10 via KO. He could end up breaking the deadlock and beat Golovkin on points if he has the same form as he did in the Jacobs fight.
Once this fight is set and done and one of the these two fighters have won the IBF title, they might want to go ahead and fight Saul Alvarez since he will be wanting to regain that IBF title and take back what he never should of lost in the first place. He lost this title due to him failing to find a fight and sorting a deal by the deadline the IBF board gave to him. Alvarez will be wanting to reclaim his throne and be crowd the IBF world middleweight champion once again!
