4th May…

4th May…

On the 4th May 2019, we will see one of the biggest fights in the middleweight division! We will see Saul “Canelo” Alvarez go up against Daniel Jacobs to unify the titles in that division! This fight will decide who is the best fighter in that division. The venue for this event will, most likely, be the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas! This is the venue where Canelo beat the likes of Gennady Golovkin, Julio Cesar Chavez and Amir Khan! Both of these fighters are world class, and both could be the unified world champion, however both of these fighters went up against Gennady Golovkin… Jacobs lost by Unanimous Decision, as Canelo won the fight by Majority Decision! Looking at this, we can say Canelo will be the favourite in this fight! Jacobs is one of the best boxers in the middleweight division right now. His record says it all, 35 wins and 29 via KO, and lost twice! Canelo will have to try his best to knock him down!

Brief History of Daniel Jacobs!

Daniel Jacobs has been boxing for about 12 years now, starting in 2007, he hasn’t let anyone down! He managed to win his first fight in 29 seconds against Jose Jesus Hurtado! He went on to win 19 more fights and winning 2 titles in the process before losing to Dmitry Pirog on the 31st July 2010! That didn’t stop him though, he carried on and won another 12 bouts and losing to Gennady Golovkin in 2017! Jacobs went the whole way with Golovkin, but couldn’t finish the job and also, he got knocked down in the fourth round! As of right now, Jacobs has currently got the IBF Middleweight title and will but putting that on the line on the 4th May!

Brief History of Saul Alvarez!

Saul Alvarez started boxing in 2005… 14 years ago! He has managed to be in 54 fights and has only lost one of them and that one fight was against Floyd Mayweather in 2013! He is one of the best middleweights in the world and ranked number 1 in the world, between every boxer that is currently active, on BoxRec! He is one of the best Mexican boxers in the world and will most likely stay that way until he retires. He’s got the world record for the best contract in sports history and in boxing history!  Canelo will always be known as the best boxer, but is he the face of boxing? He might be after this fight against Jacobs! He Canelo wins he will become the unified World champion! This would be a great achievement after 14 years of boxing!
