During a WWE wrestling match, it seems WWE Legend Rey Mysterio has his eye popped out by Seth Rollins, who proceeded to throw up.
Ouch.
It was one of the stranger things WWE has done, as an “eye for an eye” match can only end when an eye is popped out by an opponent. Seth Rollins appeared to pop Reys eye out, before throwing up himself, making him the… “winner”.
The legend rolled around in pain on the floor, before the ringside doctors ran to help, along with Rey’s son Dominik.
WWE said that Rey Mysterio was then rushed to hospital to be treated for a “potential globe luxation”.
They said: “Medical experts were optimistic that if the optic nerve is not severed and there is not too much strain on the blood vessels and nerves that connect the eye to the rest of the head, there’s a chance Mysterio can maintain his vision.”

But, before you get too concerned, the bit was nothing more than a prop eye and a little bit of fake blood – alongside some good acting of course.
People are saying it’s one of the weirdest things WWE has done, and you’ve got too agree with them when watching it! Either way, it makes good TV.
Despite Mysterios convincing performance, it’s speculated that he’s been performing without a contract, since his return in 2018. He left in 2015 and re-joined 3 years later, but after “unsuccessful negotiations”, he’s still not in a contract.
Since his return he’s won a few titles, including the WWE championship, after he beat the beast Brock Lesner in 2019.
