Five ways to improve your skin!

There are five main ways to help improve your skin. These are: eating healthy, less alcohol, less stress, quit smoking and to get plenty of sleep. Read on to see why they can improve your skin.

Eating healthy

Having a healthy diet is important as you can get all the vitamins your body needs to be healthy. Vitamins are beneficial to you kin, they can help reduce wrinkles, spots and dryness. They make your skin much healthier. It is not all about vitamins, you should have a balanced diet; if you do not have a balanced diet and just eat fatty foods your skin will get worse as it isn’t getting the nutrients you need to be healthy. This does not mean you need to stop eating fatty foods it just means you should cut down and eat healthier options as well.

Less alcohol

By cutting down your alcohol intake it cuts the risk of skin cancer, but it can also make your skin dehydrated. This results in your skin becoming dry and lose its moisture. If you lower your alcohol intake it means you also stop break outs and ageing of the skin.

Less stress

Stress increases the quality of sebum which blocks pores; this will lead to breakouts. Reducing stress levels means it makes your skin clearer, so you will not have to have breakouts.

Quit smoking

Smoking makes skin age quicker, it narrows blood vessels that are found in the outer layer of the skin, this reduces nutrients and oxygen needed for the skin. This can lead to uneven skin tone and blocked pores.

Plenty of sleep

Enough sleep will help make your skin better by remaining thick, elastic and less likely to wrinkle. 8 hours of sleep is what you should aim for, your skin repairs itself while you sleep therefore, sleep is beneficial for the skin.
