The Cavapoo is a cross between two pure breeds, namely a Poodle and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.This breed goes by two names it either get most commonly called Cavapoo or sometime Cavoodles in few parts of the world. This is a small breed . This is one of the first designer dogs to appear and was breed in the 1950s in America.
This breed has inherited many traits and characteristics from the its two parent breed. They are known for their loving, friendly and loyal personality. They make an amazing companion and family pets, as they consistently one of the world’s most popular cross breeds. They are renowned for being extremely sweet natured, which means they get along with everyone and everything.
When they form a bond with their family they become completely devoted to their families, loving nothing more but to be a part go their family and wants to be involved in everything that goes on in the household. They also get along great with children, as long as they are well socialised from a young age.
One downside to this breed is that they thrive for human company so hate being left alone for long periods of time so this is best suited for a household that has one person at home near enough all the time, if they are left alone consistently they can pick up very bad behavioural habit which need to be corrected quickly before it starts becoming an issue. They are also extremely intelligent.
This intelligent breed has an average life span of 13 to 15 years when they are fed and care for appropriately. Keep in mind that this dog was purposely bred to have low shedding rate so grooming become less of an issue with this breed.
