June Jones’s sister reported her missing on Boxing Day and she was discovered on New Year’s Eve at her west Bromwich flat by officers. Police named her ex partner as a suspect. A forensic post mortem was conducted  and did not reveal the medical cause of death. However, there was evidence of a ‘sustained and brutal assault with a weapon’. An item has been recovered and is undergoing forensic testing.

Michael Foran, 32, was arrested in Liverpool on Sunday. He will be transferred to the West Midlands for questioning.
