The US President Donald Trump has been criticised for halting funding for the WHO amid the coronavirus pandemic. This is awful from Trump since this pandemic is one of the worst virus to ever hit the world and will continue to grow. The US has had the worst virus to happen in the US since it is still growing at a rapid pace. Currently the US has the worst total cases in the world and has the worst total deaths in the world currently, with over 26,000 people dying and 38,800 recovering from the virus. It’s recovered more than its killed but, this could soon change since the virus is still spreading at a rapid pace. currently 757 more cases in the US with more to come. Nearly 5 county’s around the world have overtaken the 100,000 case worldwide.
President Trump said that the body failed to do it’s basic duty in the response to coronavirus and WHO said back that there job is “singular Focus” was to stop the outbreak from spreading even more than it already has. “I am directing my administration to halt funding while a review is conducted to assess the World Health Organization’s role in severely mismanaging and covering up the spread of the coronavirus,” Donald Trump said on Tuesday. Trump is currently getting hate after this and will continue since the WHO are trying there best to contain the virus forever and this could be done soon. Coronavirus will be stopped eventually if we all stick to the rules!
Halting funding for the World Health Organization during a world health crisis is as dangerous as it sounds. Their work is slowing the spread of COVID-19 and if that work is stopped no other organization can replace them. The world needs @WHO now more than ever.
