The advertisement will be shown on social media and billboards to start with then follow with TV adverts. Michael Gove said the adverts encourage “shared responsibility” for preparing to leave the EU on October 31st.
The campaign could cost as much as £100m as ministers want to inform people on what to do.
The campaign will also involves leaflets, online seminars and information sheets at events. Britons who are expecting to travel to Europe and businesses which export to the EU are among the group of people being targeted for this campaign. The campaign is to encourage people and businesses to visit the government website to answer and questions and receive advice on how to prepare for Brexit.
People who are British citizens who both live and work in the UK, do not run a business and do not plan to travel abroad “after 31 October 2019” do not need to use the campaign.
Twitter has been heating up with the hashtag #GetReadyForBrexit and many are mocking the campaign or Brexit.
This has to be my favourite question in the “Get Ready For Brexit” questionnaire. “No, i wish to spend every minute of the rest of my life in my home, in the dark, eating dust.” pic.twitter.com/r0LfgqV4DC
