Twenty thousand households are getting contacted by scientist to conduct a study to track the coronavirus in the general population. The main goal of this is to understand the viruses infection level and see how many people could be immune from the virus and see if they can find a reason why. This will be conducted to help for the future of the virus and see if this is going to help in the research to the viruses cure. This could help understand how the virus works and in turn we could understand how to cure it from this. Probably not but the study will show two things;

  1. The infection levels of coronavirus
  2. The immunity levels of the person taking the test

Volunteers will be provided with nose and throat swabs on a regular basis’s to see whether they have the virus, showing that the coronavirus can infected some people and they may not feel any effects from it. The findings will help to inform the Government to either ease the lockdown a bit and or shut us even more down, depending on the result. Meanwhile, the government’s scientific advisers will present their findings to the Ministers later on, whether we should wear masks and or not.

Nothing has been made final and a full strategy has not been finalised and we will be continuing lockdown for another 3 weeks at this rate, so far today the UK has had no new cases (12:40 23/04/20) so we are slowing the virus down but will it be enough to stop lockdown fully?
