The UK has seen a massive spike in Covid-19 cases, a lot more than usually and a lot more than it was last time round. Last time round, the UK only had 50,000 cases a day which is still very high but last time round the UK PM acted quick and did everything he could to stop the spread of Covid-19 and this was after Christmas last year, but this time round is very different and hard to sort as more than 100,000 people are getting infected a day with Covid-19.
Omicron is the reason why everyone is getting ill now, due to the virus spreading nightclubs are closing in Northern Ireland from the 26th of December until they control this new variant, the rule of 6 for cinemas, pubs and restaurants will soon occur in our daily lives again.
The prime minister is now urging people that if they are going to visit there families they should test themselves to stop the spread of coronavirus.
He is also telling the Sun that the public should wear a mask when needed, to make sure that those who do choose to go out are protected.
Thankfully although it’s spreading quick, Omicron appears to give you milder symptoms than Coronavirus, unlike England, Wales and Scotland have made restrictions for Christmas time.
