Puerto Rico Governor Ricardo Rosselló has just made the likes of Donald Trump appear like a feminist thanks to a huge number of leaked texts showing him to be a misogynist of the highest order and an overall unsavoury character. However, his comments are only the tip of the iceberg as under his leadership Puerto Rico has become increasingly corrupt and divisive while the economy is in stagnation. This has led to mass protests in the capital San Juan and although there have been some resignations Mr Rosselló is refusing to step down seemingly thinking his apology will be enough to satisfy the people who now know that as well as being homophobic mocking & the disabled he even stooped to making jokes about Hurricane Maria victims!

Puerto Rico was ceded to the US in 1898 and although it is an American territory it is not classed as a state and handles its own finances which are currently in a bit of a mess. Hopefully, Governor Rosselló will do the honourable thing for once and step aside and let someone who knows what they are doing run the island.
