People in England have seen lockdown get eased down abit, after the Coronavirus has less infections and less deaths on record. The rules are still work from home if possible but certain people are able to go to work now due to the virus slowing down. Alongside this rule, people are allowed to meet up with some people outside there household but they have to obey the 2 meter rule still and not allow them to come into there houses. This new rule has seen some off limit areas come back, such as garden centres. There are some more rules that have been added but we could still be staying in lockdown if the infections go back up.
Sports that are physically distanced are allowed, meaning sports like golf. All this was said on Sunday by the Prime Minister Boris Johnson after he said he had a “conditional plan” to open up society once again. The virus has caused the government to pay 80% of millions of employees wages, this has been extended till October, and this will change once lockdown is over. Some employees wh cannot work from home are urged to return to there workplaces as of now, but if there is a second spike we will return into lockdown.
A lot of people are worried about returning to work and sending there children to school once this reopens due to the virus still growing and still infecting thousands each day. A lot of people won’t send there kids to school due to them wanting to ensure the virus is gone and they won’t have any chance of getting this virus. If the UK opens everything up early, a second spike will happen due to the virus able to spread multiple ways.
