French Special Forces Troops staged a daring night raid in the north of Burkina Faso to rescue two Two French tourists who were being held by Islamist Extremists. Two other hostages one American and one South Korean were also rescued, but sadly two French troops died along with four of the kidnappers.
The area around the Mali, Burkina Faso border is a dangerous one however the French hostages had been in another country (Benin) when taken which seems to indicate that the terrorist threat is spreading.
