With the rise in cases in the UK and around the world, it’s no secret that the world needs to be careful and follow the guidelines given by health experts due to the virus being at its peak yet again in most countries such as the UK.

The UK has seen a massive increase in cases since they started easing lockdown restrictions but the NHS decided to create an app to help those who are wanting to know if anyone they have gone past has had Covid-19.

NHS Covid-19 app is allowing those that download it to update the app with them either having symptoms of coronavirus or being tested positive for the virus and the app allows them to input it into the app, this means that if anyone walks past someone that has tested positive for the virus, it will notify them and tell them the date and save the data. The other feature is wherever the user is in the UK, the app will say if it is a high risk, medium risk, or low-risk area, meaning they are either needing to worry about it or not.

A very helpful app for those who are scared of the virus and scared of getting in contact with someone with the virus, however, there was a bug that was causing people to get confused.

The NHS Covid-19 app was sending users of the app notifications of them being near someone that has tested positive for the virus which was scaring a lot of the users and making some confused. This was making those who got these messages think they could have the virus but the app has now been updated.

The new update will still send those who have the app a message saying possible Covid-19 exposure, but then another message will pop up saying to ignore the message, that message will of been from the government.
