Covid-19 is sweeping the nation, more than 4,000,000 have been confirmed to have this virus and there is soon to be more if nothing is done about it. Coronavirus needs to be stopped and will be stopped very soon since nearly everywhere that has had the virus for a few months have started to ease the lockdown slightly each and every week, maybe a month later in the UKs case. One of the most vulnerable parts of the virus is the people in care homes. Old people are more likely to die to this virus due to there bodies slowing down over the years and they wont be able to cope with most things, however coronavirus managed to get into the care homes, but something good has happened.

Due to the virus, more than 8,300 deaths have been caused in care homes, and the figures were growing and growing and growing! Recently, the office for National Statistics showed us that there were 2,423 fatalities. This was down by 2,800 the week before. This is great improvements and is great for the UK to see that some old people are recovering from the virus and getting back to there everyday lives. Alongside this, the number of hospital deaths have been falling since the second week of April as well.

Coronavirus is the deadliest virus in our day and age, no cure, no antibiotics and no vaccine has been made as of yet, but there are some testings going on with some possible vaccines and cure for the virus. The virus is said to going down and could leave the UK soon if this continues, however if the UK isn’t careful, there could be a second spike of the virus.
