Paradise Lost as California Wildfires Destroy Whole Town

In what can only be described as a horrific tragedy the entire town of Paradise in Butte County, California has been razed to the ground in some of the worst wildfires to hit the state in memory. The latest reports indicate that the whole town will have to be rebuilt and worse still 56 people have been confirmed dead and 130 more are still missing. Currently, the fires are still raging and the combination of low humidity caused with a near month of no rainfall and warm Santa Ana winds which are whipping up the flames. If global warming continues unabated the fear must be that tragedies like this will become more regular.
