Islamic Terrorist Gunmen have attacked a Church in Dablo in northern Burkina Faso, killing six, one of whom was the resident Priest. This is the 3rd attack on churches in five weeks and is most probably the work of Ansarul Islam, who has a record of going after civilian targets in the Northern area of the country.

The attackers said to have numbered between 20 and 30,  burned down the church and several other buildings and looted a health centre.

The area is becoming quite unstable with the number of extremist attacks are on the rise in the area as the terrorists seek to establish an Islamic state, and this comes on the heels of a daring French Special Forces raid to rescue hostages last week.

Burkina Faso remains one of Africas poorest countries with a Nominal GDP Per Capita of $663.80
