Downing Street has affirmed its “full support” for the UK’s ambassador to the US Sir Kim Darroch despite Donald Trump saying he will no longer work with him. The furore has erupted after e-mails calling the Trump Administration inept were leaked to the press. PM Teresa May diplomatically stated that she didn’t (we at least publically) agree with the views of her Ambassador, she still stood by him having “Complete Faith In Him” and he is expected to join International Trade Secretary Liam Fox for a scheduled meeting with the president’s daughter, Ivanka Trump, today. That could be fun.

The leak seems to be internal and Tom Tugendhat, chairman of the foreign affairs committee, has asked the Met Police to launch a criminal investigation in relation to the Official Secrets Act.
