Khris Davis, Matt Olson and Matt Chapman homered, as the A’s took the series opener from the Blue Jays. Davis had four hits, while Olson hit a three-run clout and Chapman added a two-run homer. Andrew Triggs exited after 2 1/3 for the A’s with right forearm nerve discomfort, while Blue Jays starter Aaron Sanchez struck out eight, but he walked four and allowed four runs over four-plus innings.
