Overwatch Character profile: Lena Oxton

One of the most well known Overwatch character is the one only Lena Oxton but more commonly known was Tracer. She is one of the most youngest Overwatch agents joining at the age of 26. She came from London, she was also the youngest person ever inducted into Overwatch’s experimental flight program.

The young flyer was known for her fearless piloting skills, she was handpicked to test the new teleporting fighter called the Slipstream. However during the its first flight there was a major malfunction, the aircraft’s teleportation matrix malfunctioned the worse and the ship and tracer both disappeared and Lena was presumed dead.

Months later the fearless pilot reappeared but she was changed significantly, her molecules in her body was desynchronised from the flow of time. This has then led to her suffering from ‘chronal disassociation,” This turns her almost into a living ghost she would either disappear for hours and days at a time. She was constantly struggle to be present and unable to maintain physical form.

The Overwatch doctors and scientists were stumped, and the case for the young woman seemed completely hopeless, until the gorilla scientist that goes by the name of Winston, he designed the coronal accelerator, this was a device that was capable of keeping Tracer anchored in the present. In addition to the coronal accelerator, a device capable of keeping Tracer in physical form and also ability to control or speed up time or slow down accordingly, this also gave her tracer unique ageing properties.
