With the release of Black ops 4 last year treyarch launched it with a battle royal mode as battle royal was a big in the gaming world. However Infinity Ward is very uninterested in the battle royal theme. so the new Call of duty: Modern Warfare does not have a battle royal mode.
The multiplayer developer of the game says that black ops 4 and Modern warfare have different vibes and want a core multiplayer experience. They say they do like battle royal but they rather deliver a core multiplayer experience to their players in the Warfare series.
They say there are keeping the game realistic with its weapons and game play and overall pulling it back to the old Modern Warfare and keeping it put.
