“No wonder girls have such body insecurities”: fashion retailer slammed for their sizings.

Fashion retailer, Boohoo, has not had the best reputation lately with selling a item containing animal fur but they are under fire again as they labelled a UK size large as an size 8. Many online shoppers have taken their anger to twitter to say how the brand is misleading its customers with unrealistics sizing information.

In a description of one of their products the brand wrote  ‘L is a size 8, M is a size 6 and S is a size 4’,  it left many angry and disgusted that there was no size for any size above a size 8.

Many said Boohoo’s “sizing is horrendous”. With one shopper saying “I really don’t know where they get there sizes from. I’m a size 8 and their size 8 would fit a 10 year old.”

This is not the first time the brand has received criticism for their sizing. Over a long period of time they have been under fire for their “plus sized” models who are far from plus sized and are slim.  This has received so much criticism as for many girls looking at the website may think they are plus sized by comparing to the photo but are not. This is also bad for the models as they are being put it plus sized clothes when they are not and it could affect mental health. One shopper took to twitter to say “no wonder girls have such body insecurities” when they are using slim models for plus sized.
