
Ever since the 70s corduroy has been one of the most divisive fabrics in the fashion world. Corduroy is a textile of cotton/cotton mix fabric with raised ribbed. It is made from twisted fibres which lie in parallel rows or ‘cords’ to form texture to the clothing; it has a velvety feel making it soft to touch.
In the 20th century corduroy became popular for children clothing, but it still was used for its traditional use of sporty and military wear.
This season you will have seen it all over suits, you either love it or hate it but it is back for the season ahead.
