June 1st…

In 4 months, we could potentially see a heavyweight bout we have all been waiting for! It’s been rumoured this fight and finally we could be seeing it. Anthony Joshua could be going to USA to fight Jarrell Miller. Jarrell has got what it takes to take Anthony Joshua out and could take the titles away from him! This fight could be taking place at Madison Square Garden and will be Anthony Joshua’s debut in US! This could be the start of Joshua’s worldwide title reign, if he beats Jarrell Miller and fights Deontay Wilder! This could allow Joshua to fight Deontay this year if they go through negotiations after this Miller fight! This is the fight everyone was hoping for, bar Wilder v Joshua! Eddie Hearn has said in the past Miller could take Joshua and could beat him, however Joshua will be training to knock Miller out in the second round!

After the Fury v Wilder fight, it’s said that Wilder only got $4,000,000 from that fight when everyone would of thought he would of gotten more, fighting one of the best heavyweight boxers in the world and having millions upon millions of people watching the fight around the world, however Joshua is said to be making more than this in his fight against Miller, its said Joshua will be getting up to a £32,000,000 pay-out by the end of this fight! This is huge, not only is Joshua getting more of a pay-out than Wilder in his fight, he has a chance of fighting Wilder after this for his WBC title as well! This could be the year for boxing!

Comparing the two fighters before there fight, Joshua comes in at 6’6, weighing in at 245lbs, last fight weighs in, and has a reach of 82′, 208cm! He could be the favourite in this fight since he has a knockout record of 95%, meaning he has knocked out every opponent bar one person and this one opponent was Joseph Parker on the 31st March 2018! In his last fight, he managed to knockout Alexander Povetkin in the 7th round, will he be able to do the same? Jarrell Miller comes in at 6’4, weighing in at 315lbs, last weigh in, and has a reach of 78′, 198cm! He will struggle to get near Joshua if he uses his reach more than anything. His KO rate is 83%, meaning he’s knocked out 20 out of 24!

If this fight does end up happening, we can see that Joshua has got the upper hand. He has been involved in more challenging fights and has the strength and movement to beat anyone put in front of him. Joshua could just use his reach advantage and keep Miller away with his Jab, as Miller will have to find a way to get inside the jab and get close to Joshua to deliver the finishing blows. The favourite will be Joshua no matter what! Joshua will be named king of the ring in USA, if he does win this bout, which many people will think he will win!
