
Makeup brand Dermablend Professional has listened to their customers and have gone cruelty-free, they have been certified by PETA.
Dermablend was founded by dermatologist Dr Craig Roberts, the makeup brand is known for their high coverage foundation, concealers and powders.
Malena Higuera, Dermablend’s GM told WWD: “We felt it was important to seek third-party certification to reinforce and validate our commitment to cruelty-free and to show our consumers that we’re listening to their needs.”
Dermablend had to prove that every single process they did in production and sourcing of its products were cruelty-free. The brand has also chosen to permanently remove two animal-derived ingredients from its formulas and plan to eventually be completely vegan-friendly by the end of 2019.
Dermablend is often prescribed by dermatologists and surgeons for the products high coverage which can conceal minor and major skin imperfection. All the products are allergy tested, fragrance-free and last up to 16 hours when topped with the brand’s setting powder.
