Anthony Joshua was meant to be going up against Jarrell Miller on the 1st June, however this may not be happening anymore! The reason behind this is because Jarrell Miller failed his drug test. This test was taking place on the 20th March 2019, they discovered traces of Metabolic Modulators GW1516. This can also be known as Cadarine and Endurobol that was found in his system. Now, Joshua will have to look for a new opponent on June 1st due to this failed drug test! “big baby” Miller has said he will be appealing this and will hopefully go back to fighting Joshua on June 1st because he believes that he is clean and has every reason to fight Joshua!
Now that this fight isn’t happening, Joshua needs to find himself a new opponent for this bout. There have been more than 8 fighters Joshua could go up against, however the one fighter it is looking like it’s going to be is Michael Hunter! Michael Hunter has had 16 wins and 1 loss, that one loss was to the new heavyweight superstar, Oleksandr Uysk! This won’t be the fight that a lot of people hoped for, but it should be a good fight none the less! There could be other fighters that could fight Joshua like Luis Ortiz and Adam Kownacki! The main fight everyone wants to see is either Joshua v Usyk or Joshua v Wilder, however these fights will have to wait since Wilder and Usyk both have fights coming up.
