The males and females are quite easy to tell apart as the females are noticeably smaller than the males and weigh a lot lighter as well. With this dog’s fun like character, they are known for being fun to share a house with. These dogs are also very eager to please their owners but they must know who the alpha dog is so they can look for guidance and so no unwanted behaviour becomes a habit.

Boxers also need to be well socialised and introduced to new people and animals in different situations and environments this encourages a safer and well-tamed dog, so they aren’t doing things such as jumping up at people when they greet them. This dog very rarely shows aggressive behaviour, but due to their size, they can often be seen as intimidating.

This dog breed has an average life span of 10 to 12 years when they are properly cared for and fed appropriate food for their age.
