Cavalcade 1933 Oscar winner Best Picture

Cavalcade 1933 Oscar Wining FilmCavalcade beat off some stiff competition (including the probably better known A Farewell to Arms) to win the Oscar for Best picture in 1933. Almost beyond its time it looks at the upper middle class life from the view point of of well-to-do London residents Jane and Robert Marryot. Almost documentary in style it covers from New Year’s Eve 1899 through New Year’s Day 1933, and neatly slots in several key historical events such as the Second Boer War, the death of Queen Victoria, the sinking of the Titanic, and the First World War.
Hard to find however we have tracked down a couple of clips below.
