The Toyger cat breed are extremely attractive breed and are medium to large size cats that have a wild look to them. They originated from the United States and thanks to the wild kind looks they have gained an extremely big fan base. On top of their beautiful looks, this cat breed is known for being affectionate and kind and this is why they have found homes in many places around world including the UK.
Relating to a lot of other breeds of cat they don’t really like change and they like a strict routine and hate it when it is changed for any reason. They liked to be fed at the same time everyday and don’t like furniture being moved around the home, this can often stress the cat out. Due to the selective breeding of this cat breed. It is known for being outgoing and a very social cat and is confident by nature. This cat also adores the home environment and loves human contact.
These extremely beautiful cats are also highly intelligent and are quick to pick up on things and learn new things including interactive play with their owners such as fetch. Due to how quickly they form a strong bond with their owners they are not fond of being left alone for long period of time.
These cats love the outdoors and will happily roam outside that’s only if it is safe for them to do so. They can also quite easily adapt to being good house pet but will require a lot of mental stimulation to keep the their mind busy and to make them very happy cat. These cat are also not very vocal but will happily be if spoken to and much more vocal during meal times.
The average life expectancy of a Toyger is 12 to 15 years if cared for correctly and given the approite food for their age.
