Japanese Shiba Inu

The Shiba Inu is a Spitz-type dog, their name stands for ‘Small Dog’ in Japanese. They are the smaller Verison of an Akita Inu. These dogs were originally bred to work as hunting and working dogs. Over the years this dog as become a well loved companion and family pet. They are known for being fun-loving and trustworthy pets in native Japan. They have however made theirself home to many other places in the world such as the UK.

Shiba Inu Puppies

The Male are lightly taller than thier female counterparts while also weighing a lot more aswell. This breed is known for beinf alret, inquistive and playful. They tend to be nervous around people they don’t know but once they get used to them they will be fine. They also have some cat like traits much like their cousins, the Japanese Chin as they drop themselves on the backs of chairs and wash their faces using their paws and can also purr when being petted.

They are known for being very affectionate and gentle dogs and not aggressive by nature but you do need to make sure these put are socialable from a younger so you dont have any problems in the future. They are also very eger to please and very intelligent dogs.

These dogs have the avarage life span of 12 to 15 years when they are cared for properly
