The Egyptian Mau is known for being extremely quick on their feet and they also have the look of the cats found in ancient Egypt and which are depicted on the tomb walls of Pharaohs. These cats have been recored at speeds of thirty miles an hour. Furthermore, these cat have extremely strong back legs which allow them to jump great heights. Over the years these cat have become loving companions in the lives of people and even found their way into many homes across the world including the UK.
These cats are one to boast for having a lovely personality. They are playful and intelligent and can learn new things very quickly. They are also known for their humour which makes them a good house pet. Unlike many other cat breeds, this one loves to play in water and will paddle in ponds if given the chance. They also love watching taps drive and will drive into a sink full of water with no hesitation. They are extremely energetic cats and have incredible speed. They also like jumping up to high places to look down at the world below. 
This cat breed loves human company and don’t like being left on their own for long periods of time. This breed is best advised to have if at least one person stays at home most of the day, while everyone is out. These cat get along better with grown up children rather than younger one. This breed is quite vocals these cat also wag their tail and stamp there feet when they’re not happy.
They have an average life of 13 to 16 years olds.
