This breed is very unique not only for it beautiful look but also for it intelligence and character traits. They are known all around the world for their beautiful spotted coats and this is one of many reasons why they are extremely popular family and companion pets. The original purpose why they were bred was to run alongside carriages which include horse- drawn fire engines, this earn the bred the popular reputation and name as Fire house Dogs.

This breed has a tremendous amount of stamina they are highly active dogs and are strong, for medium size breed they require a lot of exercise and mental stimulation as they excel in canine sports. They have a very loving side and known being natural watch dog.

Dalmatian Puppy

This breed mature slowly and never reach full maturity until they are 12 to 15 months old, the males of this breed are much heavier and taller which makes them stronger than females counterparts. However females are known for being a bit moody at times as the males tend to be more stable. However the males of this breed tend to be more dominate over the female who will get along with everyone but they are very protective of their family as they are natural watch dogs.

In general, Dalmatians are confident, outgoing and extremely friendly dogs and rarely show any sort of aggressive behaviour this is less likely to show if well bred and had socialisation from a young age. This dog is good for a first time owner as long as the owner is prepared to give this active and highly intelligent a lot of exercise and lots of mental stimulation to keep them happy.

The average life span for this breed is 10 to 13 years when they are cared for right and given the good quality diet for their age.
