They are the type of bred that work as a working gundog, the Cocker Spaniel has consistently been on the UK’s most popular breeds as a family pets for decades. Over the years they have grown to be popular in other countries. They are happy in most lifestyles and are very easy to adpat. They are very happy and enegtic dogs. These are also extremely inteligent and boast about having kind, patient, loyal natures and are happier than when exploring a back garden, park or the countryside with their noses glued to the ground.
Males are slightly taller than the females but both weigh on avarage the same. These dogs are renowned for their gentle and loving natures. They are full of life and are always eger to please ther owners. However when they form a stong bond with someone they become very loyal to that person and will be more behaved for that person then others. 
They are also a very good pet for first time owner as they are easy to train and are a loving and playful family pet to have. They have the avrage life span of 11 to 12 and even longer when cared for properely and are given the correct amount of exercise and food for their age. However be aware this dog breed is common for dog cancer and has lead to 30% of death in Cocker Spaniels.
