This breed originated from Mexico where it is highly prized for cuteness, their intelligence and for the fact the breed thinks they’re bigger than they actually bigger than they are. One thing they are certainly not is a lapdog, this is because this small adorable pup is bursting full energy and they are great to share a home with. They are fiercely courageous and will stand their ground no matter what. However they are extremely loyal and affectionate to their owners loving nothing more than being round them as much as possible as they don’t like being left alone for long periods of times.
The males and females of this breed are the same height and same weight on average this dogs are very small dogs and are known for the smallness and cuteness making it your ideal cute pup that doesn’t grow to big. These dogs like perviously said are not lap dogs they are quick and extremely alert with a feisty personality. People see these small dogs as like big dog trapped inside a small dog body as they stick up for themselves even against much bigger dogs. They are spirited and highly intelligent dogs which is reason why people have welcomed them into their hearts and homes across the world.
They are very wary and cautious by nature which relates to their height but once they get to know someone they are fine and become very loyal and loving. These dogs have the average life span of 10 to 18 years this is when they are properly cared for and looked after. You also need to be aware what to feed them for their age. Another common factor with this breed when they are born their skull isn’t always fully developed and as a result may never be fully formed.
